Film & TV Performances

Studying acting and observing experts in the profession is an amazing experience. The occasional Film & TV background performer work that I get to do has been very gratifying. Each time, I get to experience what it’s like to make art that brings excitement and joy to others.

Being on set gives an appreciation of the benefits of working towards mastery. An actor crafts an emotional intelligence skill set that allows them to repeatedly deliver a precise performance. This requires deep presence, emotional agility, focus, and the ability to perform under pressure. Observing the execution of such abilities is a remarkable experience. Whether it’s seeing how an actor delivers under the strain of a late night shoot, or being in a scene with an Oscar-winner giving a complex performance - I’m always mesmerized.

Regardless of what we do professionally, I think there is much to be gained by studying acting. The mental and emotional strength required stretches us in new directions. And our creative intuition will be sparked in ways that can benefit other areas of life.
