Film & TV Performances
Studying acting and observing experts in the profession is an amazing experience. The occasional Film & TV background performer work that I get to do has been very gratifying. Each time, I get to experience what it’s like to make art that brings excitement and joy to others. Whether it’s seeing how an actor “gets out of her head” while under the pressure of late night shoot, or being in a scene with an Oscar-winner giving a complex performance - I’m always mesmerized.
What we often don’t see is how artists forge their skills through years, sometimes decades, of sacrifice and dedication. Being on set gives an appreciation of the skills required to repeatedly deliver a precise performance, tuning out distraction and pressure. This is an ability we can all benefit from learning, regardless of our profession.
